Perfection

When a mountain is high and steep

And with each trial comes a slip,

There are three things you can do:

Try once and watch others try,

Give up and jump into the Nile

Or smile and never say die.

In a quest to reach perfection

Nobody is nearer to the goal than you.

Perfection is not in the body, but mind and heart

Not in the talk or style, but rather, in life’s art.

That which is too close to touch

And yet very hard to reach,

That it is, which we need to attain

And to forever retain

Of perfection I speak
